Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Rock to Star in New 'SAW'

Well, here's something I didn't think I'd be reading today. I just love it when something like this just comes straight out of left field, it's an eye-opener and something that I think sounds pretty damn killer.

According to the folks over at Bloody-Disgusting, the ninth film in the SAW franchise is actually in production as we speak and Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson have been confirmed to star! Check out further details within courtesy of B-D.
The ninth film, which is currently filming is still untitled and will be canonized according to Joe Drake, the Chairman of Lionsgate.

As mentioned above, Chris Rock will star and he will play the character of a police detective "investigating a series of grisly crimes." And Samuel L. Jackson will play Chris Rock's father. Max Minghella (Horns) will play William Schenk, who is Chris Rock's partner and Marisol Nichols ( Scream 2) will play Capt. Angie Garza.

As per the site;

The film will offer fans worldwide a new amped-up level of deviously treacherous traps, clever clues and the edge-of-the-seat suspense they expect from one of the world’s most terrifying horror franchises.

Mark Burg and Oren Koules will be producing while Chris Rock will serve as an executive producer.

Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg penned the script.

A release date has been pegged for October 23, 2020. And at this time there is still no word on Tobin Bell's involvement. But never say never.
