'Event Horizon' Travels to Amazon for a TV Series
Paul W. S. Anderson's Event Horizon is quite possibly my favorite sci-fi/horror, I mean it's right up there with The Terminator, it's just such a joy to watch. So, while we probably won't ever be seeing those deleted scenes (do a google search), we may be getting more Event Horizon, in TV form. Read on for the details.
The folks over at Variety have learned that Amazon and Paramount Television are developing a series adaptation of Paul W.S. Anderson and Philip Eisner's Event Horizon, with Adam Wingard to executive produce and potentially direct the series.
It is still early days so are aren't any further details at this time, but could a TV series work? It certainly has the potential to explore new dimensions, but what really made the film was that it was so dark, and really quite horrific. It was awesome. So, I'm hoping that they will continue down that route and not aim to appeal to a wider audience.
But, who knows? They may deliver something entirely different. Either way, more Event Horizon the better. What do you guys think, could a series work?
