New Texas Chainsaw 3D Poster Comes Revving In

I absolutely love Tobe Hooper's 1974 seminal classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, while the film lacked any gore, the suspense and the overall atmosphere was merely enough to send many people into mental shock. It looked real. As a matter of fact, I once stumbled upon a house deep in the woods of England which almost looked exactly like the original house, strangely enough, I heard a chainsaw revving, or at-least that's what I thought it was. In any event, you can bet your ass that I shot out of there like a bat out of hell!

So to say that Tobe Hooper's original classic left an imprint on me is an understatement. It left me traumatized, and I thank him for it. I freakin' love The Texas Chainsaw Massacre!
So what's all this about a direct sequel? What ever happened to the original sequel, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2? It appears as if that one as well as the other sequels are being left out, as a new direct sequel to the original film from John Luessenhop is making its way to theatres this January 4th, and we have scored a brand new poster courtesy of the fine folks over at B-D. Want to see what the new Leatherface looks like? Take a gander below.

The film stars Dan Yeager, John Dugan, Bill Moseley, Alexandra Daddario, Sue Rock, Tania Raymonde, Scott Eastwood, Gunnar Hansen, Tobe Hooper, Paul Rae, Keram Malicki-Sánchez, Ritchie Montgomery, Trey Songz, Marilyn Burns, Shaun Sipos, Thom Barry and Richard Riehle.
