I often get asked, "Is blogging actually worth it?" Well, it all depends on you. While you all know, we don't get paid, of course some do, but very few of us actually do so if you're looking for a quick buck, think again, there is no money to be had in blogging. However, its an excellent platform to meet and form new friends and get to know some icons in the horror genre, and I for one have been extremely lucky. As I've said, I'm no different to any of you, I'm just a fan of horror, but I've met some truly awesome and humble people who work within the genre and while some of their characters on screen can be some of the must brutal and sadistic, the truth is they are all the most nicest bunch of people you will ever likely come across.
One of these people is Bill Oberst Jr. he has been an absolute pleasure to chat, and always has time for you even though it appears as if he is in a new flick every single day. I often ask myself, "do you even sleep, Bill?" He is a true workhouse and an absolute asset to the genre. I've met a ton of people while blogging, but I have to say, Bill is the most hardest working person in the genre today! It has been an absolute blast watching him doing what he does best, performing in his trademark creepy way, there is no other, and I urge you to follow this guy.
So, you're probably wondering what the heck am I jabbing on about? Well, recently, Bill, sent me over a photo of himself and Kelly Cunningham as they try out a few different ideas, and the image really spoke to me. Its beautiful yet extremely creepy and it just drew me in, in any event, Bill let me share it with you guys and you can check it out below. It pains me to have to use the word NSFW (Not Safe For Work) over an image which contains breasts, as I may unfortunately offend someone, I mean, c'mon, its just breasts! But it is what it is and censorship has gone freakin' ape-shit lately! This is art. Film is art.
Yeah, I get a little bit pissed off when it comes to censorship, look at here in the UK, they STILL ban films! I mean, really!? So anyway, back to the awesome by writer/producer Jim Cushinery of Bill Oberst Jr. and Kelly Cunningham, this isn't from a film, its just a concept shoo,t and I just love the imagery they have portrayed, and I for one would love to see these two work together more, I can see some chemistry here, I think they will perfectly play off each other very well, both super creepy, in the most nicest way possible. :)
Also, I would like to give a shout out to Jourdan McClure's Children of Sorrow, which stars Bill Oberst Jr. as the film is up for eight, count em' eight! awards at this weekends Shockfest. As well as all the other films on showcase that day.
