Father's Day is Banned in Australia!

No, not the actual Father's Day, although I wouldn't put anything past any censors these days with health and safety going all bat-shit crazy. Sadly, it appears as if our Australian horror fiends are being deprived of a horror-comedy known as Father's Day. Yep, its a horror-comedy, but that doesn't stop the powers that be, it appears as if Australia, much like the U.K. are still living in the dark ages when films still get banned. Quite sad and I must say, pretty pathetic if you ask me.

I've got an idea, how about we ban all these reality T.V. shows, surely this is brainwashing our children more, I mean, what the fuck!?

So yeah, Astron-6's Father's Day was set to screen at Cinema Nova next week as part of Monster Fest from Monster Pictures, but according to Brisbane Times, the film was refused classification on October 31 by the Australian Classification Board.

So sadly this means, the film cannot be screen or distributed legally within Australia, I mean, really? This has obviously been taken out of context, its a film! Entertainment, this isn't real! If you can;t stomach it, turn it off, walk away. You are not being forced to watch something that you don;t like. But, it appears as if the classification board is speaking for all you genre fans in Australia.

I am yet to see Father's Day, but judging from the trailers it is right up my alley and I can't wait to check it out, hopefully Santa will deliver this Christmas!

I want to hear from YOU, let me know what you think? Should we still be banning films? Surely there is more important things to focus on instead of banning a film. But heck, its free publicity, go see Father's Day and let everyone know that the film has been banned. Lets get this film seen by every genre fan out there!
