WWE WrestleMania 31 Predictions

Well, guys. WWE's WrestleMania 31 will hit tomorrow evening or Midnight tomorrow for those of us in the UK, and with Wrestlemania upon us I thought it would take the time to unleash my predictions and potential scenarios, which probably won't play out, but it's always nice to dream. So, are you stoked for WWE's biggest event of the year? Read on to check out my predictions and then please leave yours in the comments below.
Before I begin I just want to let you know that I will not be giving my predictions for all the matches on the card, just the ones that I'm most interested in seeing, so without further-ado, let's go.

Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins: Thankfully, Randy Orton is not facing John Cena for what feels like the millionth time, but instead the "future of the WWE" Seth Rollins. Credit needs to be given as the powers that be have done a great job in creating the animosity between these two guys, but also Randy Orton's stellar promos as of late. They have had some great confrontations, but on Sunday they will finally go toe-to-toe but who will win? My money is on Randy Orton. They have done a great job in turning the guy "face", but then again maybe that's more to do with the crowd's reaction as they haven't seen him for so long.

Either way, with The Authority pretty much leaving Rollins to fend for himself against the viper Randy Orton, I think it would make sense to continue pushing Orton in this direction and given him the win. This is due in part to Rollins potentially cashing in his Money in the Bank in the main event, but I'll get to that a bit later. But even though The Authority is pretty much out of the picture, I'm pretty sure Kane or The Big Show may turn up, even if it is to turn on Rollins.

Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match: Bad News Barrett (C) vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Stardust vs. Luke Harper vs. R-Truth: This one I'm kind of on the fence with. On the one hand I'm stoked to see Barrett, Ziggler, Ambrose, Harper and of course Daniel Bryan, but I'm having a hard time with R-Truth and Stardust. I just don't know. Me personally I don't see what else they can do with R-Truth and Stardust without Goldust just doesn't work in my opinion, but that's just me.

Anyway, I have a feeling that Ziggler will once again reclaim the Intercontinental Championship, but I'm hoping they either keep the title on Barrett, as he deserves to hold the title for a little longer or push Dean Ambrose. But yeah, I think Barrett will retain the title and hopefully have a singles match in the future against either Ziggler or Ambrose, either one deserves another shot, but just not now. As for Daniel Bryan, I would love to see him hold some gold, but I'm hoping they go for a David vs. Goliath match next year with him versus Brock Lesnar, be it for the championship or not.

Bray Wyatt vs. The Undertaker: This one I am stoked for. You have the phenom The Undertaker, who has been the WWE's most dominant supernatural character for as long as I can remember and the future in Bray Wyatt, who I hope they will push to take the place of the Undertaker as WWE's next supernatural wrestler. But there are two ways. Do you have The Undertaker lose? If so, I'd say that's a bad move/ He has already lost at WrestleMania, and look at that one loss. They have constantly been pouring that number down our throats for the better part of a year, so if he gets a second loss, wouldn't that put the focus more on his loses than on the streak?

So, how about The Undertaker wins, just. But upon winning. Wyatt simply destroys the Phenom. I mean, he practically eradicates him. Basically sending The Undertaker to hell or to some nether-regions being Undertaker's finally match, and thus thrusting Bray Wyatt as THE new phenom for years to come, potentially taking The Undertaker's powers with him. This in turn could bring forth a new type of Ministry headed by Bray Wyatt who will go on to proclaim that he was the one to take The Undertaker out for good.

Sting vs. Triple H: The final warrior of the now defunct WCW, Sting. He finally makes his WrestleMania debut and it's against Triple H. The COO of the WWE. They have been building this one up quite well. I wished that they had kept Sting in the shadows a bit more and it would have been nice if they just kept him silent until their confrontation this Sunday, but it is what it is. Anyway, I'm pretty sure The Big Show and Kane will be making their presence felt in this one, but they just have to give Sting the win, I mean, what's the point in bringing him back, hyping up the match only to have him lose?

But then again, do they still hold that much of a grudge against WCW, even though they won and WCW folded 14 years ago? But what about the dream match, The Undertaker vs. Sting? Will there be a showdown between the two at the end of the match leading into next years WrestleMania? It would be great to see these two go at it, but sadly I think it's too late, but as they say, never say never.

Also, they need to go all out on Sting's entrance. Hopefully bringing back his WCW music or something a little similar? If this is his one and only match in the WWE, they need to give him something truly epic.

WWE Championship: Brock Lesnar (C) vs. Roman Reigns: For the past several months, they have done a stellar job in building both Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns for the match, this is due to Paul Heyman who has been unleashing some of his best promos EVER! They did an awesome job. Well, that was until the last Raw before WrestleMania. What was with that tug-of-war ending? They were building up these two great beasts and instead had them play a game of tug-of-war? They should have just went at it and flooded the ring with about 50 security guards and wrestlers pulling them apart before either one destroyed the other.

But, for what ever reason, we got the tug-of-war. Now it's no secret that Brock Lesnar has renewed his contract, so one would assume that he would just have to win, I mean, they have really created this unstoppable force in Brock Lesnar, but then again the WWE do indeed seem to favour Roman Reigns as their next champion. So, how about this? What if Paul Heyman turns on Brock Lesnar. Perhaps he is pissed off that he renewed his contract and would have loved him to take the title to UFC and done whatever, making one of the most controversial moves in wrestling history.

So he turns on Lesnar somehow screws him out of retaining his title and sides with Seth Rollins who cashes in his Money in the Bank. But, before Rollins can get the pin-fall on Roman Reigns, or potentially Brock Lesnar, The Rock returns to throw another curve-ball and aids Roman Reigns in winning. This in turn creates story-lines for months with all parties involved.

But this is just my ramblings. I know many seem to be a little disappointed in this years WrestleMania, but me, I'm freakin' stoked. Finally no John Cena in the main even and some potentially awesome matches with potential controversies throughout. I'll be watching on the WWE Network for £9.99, how about you?
