Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman Become Executive Directors of Raw and Smackdown

One thing I didn't want to be is one of those "wrestling dirt-sheets," and that's why you won't find any rumors or even news regarding professional wrestling here, just our love for the sport. But something truly huge has just happened, and it may result in me actually tuning into the WWE after a hiatus of a couple of years.

The mad scientist and former president of ECW, Paul Heyman, has been announced as the new executive director of Monday Night Raw and the former president of WCW, Eric Bischoff, has been named as the executive director of Smackdown Live! It's a move that I don't think anyone foreseen coming to fruition and that's why we are absolutely stoked.

When Chucky "Invaded" WCW

Oh 1998, how we miss you. Bruce Willis' Armageddon was dueling with Deep Impact in cinemas while Titanic was completely dominating any and all competition, Europe agreed on the single currency the Euro, and the WWF and WCW was at the height of the Monday Night Wars.

But, there was something just as poignant happening as well. The fourth entry in the Child's Play series, Bride of Chucky, was gearing up for its release and that sucker, Chucky, was getting everywhere, including the world of professional wrestling. So, with the Child's Play reboot hitting cinemas this Friday, the 20th June, I thought it was the perfect time to take a peek at when Chucky invaded WCW.

WCW Thunder Is Still Alive!

And you guys thought WCW was dead? WCW is still very much alive, well, almost. You see, WCW Thunder still has its website and it doesn't get redirected to WWE, like WCW.com does. TBS Superstation still has WCW Thunder, and there are a few little nostalgic gems to be found.

Want a little clip from Thunder? you've got it! How about a little E-Card? They've got your back. Want a little background information on the likes of Mike Tenay and Larry Zbyszko? Head on inside for all the details.

Thank You Daniel Bryan

Over the past few years we have been treated with some truly talented individuals that have stepped foot into the squared circle and one Daniel Bryan or Bryan Danielson aka the American Dragon, is one of those elite. His in-ring performance was mesmerising, pack that together with his personality and charisma, you have a truly world-class sports entertainer on your hands.

But sadly, Danielson was plagued with injuries, one was so serious that he had to step down and vacate the WWE heavyweight championship, a title he has worked so hard for, and now it appears as if he may never wrestle again.

Vince Russo: The Man, The Myth, The Legend

For those who know me, know I'm a hug supporter of Vince Russo, and with the Internet and everyone having an opinion, I thought I'd chime my two-cents into the pot. For years, and to this very day I constantly hear and read those slandering Vince Russo. More than anything I read people saying, "Fire Russo!" well, I'm here to change that to "Hire Russo" as professional wrestling needs Vince Russo more than ever. I was a HUGE wrestling fan in the 90s,

I wouldn't miss one flagship show from WCW and the then WWF. I'd ever have them set for record, or I'd stay up to catch them. Unfortunately I live in the UK, so the WWF and WCW would be shown at odd hours, ECW was evening worse, I believe it was 12am on a Sunday, being a school night it was pretty much a no-no, but thanks to the wonders of the VCR, I managed to keep up with them all.

Anyway, back to the point and that is Vince Russo. So, if you want to read my ramblings, head on down below.

Top Five Extreme Moments from Extreme Championship Wrestling - Part 2

Welcome back, guys! Yes, it's me with my second instalment into my Top Five Extreme Moments from ECW, I love doing this lists as it's quite a nostalgia thing, but anyway, let's get on to it. For those of you who know me will know that I absolutely loved ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling). It was a promotion that was so ahead of its time. It was fresh, new and did things that no other promotion would ever think of doing. They were revolutionary. A mixture of high-flying, fast-paced wrestling that was mixed with hard rocking entrances and hardcore wrestling. It truly was something else.

Now, there have been a slew of promotions that have obviously been inspired by ECW, and they have took extreme to a whole new level, but I've got to say, it's just not the same. ECW did it differently, it wasn't just the extreme violence, the guys doing these things were freakin' talented and quite frankly there will never be another ECW. So, here is my second instalment into the ongoing Top Five Extreme Moments from ECW.

As always, viewer discretion is advised.

Top Five Extreme Moments from Extreme Championship Wrestling - Part 1

For those of you who know me will know that I absolutely loved ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling). It was a promotion that was so ahead of its time. A mixture of high-flying, fast-paced wrestling that was mixed with hard rocking entrances and hardcore wrestling. It truly was something else.

ECW did it differently, it wasn't just the extreme violence, the guys doing these things were freakin' talented and quite frankly there will never be another ECW. But, with ECW now gone I thought I would share with you my Top 5 Extreme Moments from ECW, which will span into a few parts with five choices within each one, so in reality it may be a top 15, 20, 100! Who knows. In any event here are my first five picks.

Top 10 Wrestling Theme Songs

If you're a wrestling fan then it is a given that you love what happens inside the squared circle, but sometimes the entrance music is just as important, maybe even more in some cases than the actual performance. I mean, as a fan how do you get pumped for your favourite wrestler?

Easy. As soon as their music hits you simply jump out of your seat and start fist pumping to the music or perhaps even sing along. So, below are MY Top 10 Wrestling Theme Songs and they're in no particular order, except the moment they popped into that little brain of mine. My list was compiled from music from WWF/E, WCW and ECW. Sorry TNA and ROH.

WCW Monday Nitro: Looking Back Fourteen Years Ago Today

I've been away for a while. It's been tough trying to write for another horror website and try to keep your own blog up-to-date, which unfortunately I have neglected as trying to juggle both and family life is a near impossible feat. But, I've got some free time and I'm doing something much different. This plays very close to my heart being a huge professional wrestling fan, so I thought I'd share my thoughts here.
