'Krueger: Tales from Elm Street' Resurrects Freddy Krueger

As a Nightmare On Elm Street fan, I think we can all agree that while we will probably never see another sequel (and I'm fine with that), we NEED a prequel. We've had a slight look previously in Rachel Talalay's Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare where Alice Cooper portrayed Krueger's father as well as Tobe Hooper's excellent pilot episode of the short lived Freddy's Nightmare's TV series, which ran for two seasons.

But, I think a feature film prequel would really tie the series up nicely, but it appears to look very slim. However, there is life, and fan films are keeping the dream alive. And Chris R. Notarile is, in my opinion, at the forefront with his exceptional short film series; Krueger: Tales from Elm Street, so make your way within to learn much more.
Chris R. Notarile and Blinky Productions have put together a truly exceptional short film series in the form of Krueger: Tales from Elm Street, which serves as a prequel to the late Wes Craven's A Nightmare On Elm Street and you can check out the entire series below with 5-parts put together into one video as well as the final episode separate which serves as a new tale.

The episodes are as follows;
  • KRUEGER: A Walk Through Elm Street
  • KRUEGER: The Slasher from Elm Street
  • KRUEGER: Another Tale from Elm Street
  • KRUEGER: A Tale from Elm Street
  • KRUEGER: The Legend from Elm Street
  • NEW TALE: The Demon of Elm Street
These are highly put together, extremely detailed and quite possibly the closest we will ever get to a feature prequel film. While Notarile would love to produce a feature film, it just isn't feasible with the production costs involved as well as the rights, licenses and legality of using names owned by New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. etc.
The series stars Roberto Lombardi, Breanna Lakatos, Vera VanGuard, Jacob Flowers, Danica Metzger, Jessica Buda, Shannon McDermott, Christopher Durbin, Christian Chase, Shawn Parr, Hector De La Rosa, Gracie De La Rosa, Andrea-Nicole Olivas and more.

Synopsis: In Springwood, long before he became a demon of dreams, Freddy Krueger stalked the streets under another name - The Springwood Slasher.

I was simply blown away by this one, and I would love if you could help raise awareness for this, as this deserves to be seen. So, if you'd like to know more, make your way over to their official Facebook page and give them a 'like.'
