'Scream: Resurrection' to Premiere on VH1

It has taken a whopping three and a half years, but the third season of the Scream TV series has been tooled and will finally see the light of day on VH1. I've never got around to watching this one, some love it and others, not so much.

But where do you stand? Is this something that you think I should finally take a look at? I probably will, but for now, lets get into the details of the third season in which The Hollywood Reporter exclusively broke the news. Read on within.
According to the site, the third season is titled Scream: Resurrection and will consist of 6-episodes which will run for 2 hours per night on VH1, with the first airing this July 8th at 9 p.m. through to July 10th.

The site also reveals that the actual Ghostface mask, which MTV's Scream had previously been unable to use will be shown in the upcoming season. Roger Jackson, who voiced the killer in the Scream film franchise, will reprise the role this July 8th.

Season three centers on Deion Elliot (RJ Cyler), a local star football running back, whose tragic past comes back to haunt him and threaten his hard-earned plans for the future — and the lives of his unlikely group of friends. The cast also includes Mary J. Blige, Keke Palmer, Tyler Posey, Tyga, Giorgia Whigham, Jessica Sula, C.J. Wallace and Giullian Yao Gioiello.
