His previous film, Margo, which is a female driven post-society thriller, hooked me in from the get go. It was an emotional ride, extremely harrowing and something that I urge you to check out. But going forward, Packman has a new movie on the horizon and it's the vampire flick Morbid Colors.
Within we have the new official trailer, details and official still.
Morbid Colors stars Kara Gray and Lanae Hyneman who co-produced the film alongside writer/director Matthew Packman. Gray also helped with the story.
Synopsis: “Morbid Colors” follows the troubled journey of Devin and Myca, two foster sisters bound by horrific pasts. When Myca returns from a months-long runaway trip with an insatiable thirst for human blood, Devin is hurled into her sister’s relentless quest to hunt down the creature responsible. The film is also produced by Jakob Bilinski and Tye Wilson, while the original music was created by Daniel Roach.
I am loving the look of this one so far, and Gray and Hyneman look extremely comfortable in their roles, even though it looks set to be quite emotionally demanding. Throughout the trailer I was getting vibes from Larry Fessenden's often overlooked Habit. This one looks great, it's brooding and deliciously intriguing. Give it a watch below and let us know what you make of this one so far.
Within the film, a band named Reed Four provided their song “Cocoon (Theatrical)” which can be heard within the trailer.
For more information on the band, hit up their official Facebook page and YouTube channel.
