And then there's the countless other media from comics, books, video games, pinball games, heck, even calendars. And with horror becoming hot again, especially in Hollywood, now is the time to see a revival of Elvira's Movie Macabre or at least something along those lines with Elvira hosting, as she is just so much fun. But it appears as if many streaming services aren't interested.
If you have Shudder then I'm sure you know about the revival of Joe Bob Briggs' The Last Drive-In, and how well that is doing, and obviously horror hosts is something that many are interested in seeing again on TV, well, TV but a streaming channel.
So, Elvira recently took to Twitter to let everyone know that Netflix has turned down a project with her, and even more of a shocker is that Shudder, the go-to place for horror also turned her down.
So what is it? Is it budgetary constraints? If so, did they even watch the horror Movie Macabre, it was even more low-budget than many of the films that were featured, and that was the charm along with Elvira's beaming personality, so surely it's not that.So @netflix is a no go 😞 we tried. pic.twitter.com/h0KWx5JDNE— Elvira (@TheRealElvira) August 27, 2019
Maybe it's because Shudder already has a show with a horror host such as Joe Bob Briggs and they don't feel the need for two, but what about Netflix?
Netflix, although has some great stuff, there horror selection is a little lagging. So having someone like Elvira on there would be a huge draw. But sadly it appears as if the streaming world just isn't ready for Elvira and it's a damn shame. If you could, please let Netflix, Shudder, Amazon or a number of other streaming outlets know that the world needs more Elvira.
